About
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. My theoretical orientation can best be described as a mixture of Person-centered and Cognitive Behavioral therapy. Person-centered therapy encourages Self-Actualization and Cognitive Behavioral strategies aimed at changing behavioral patterns serve as a catalyst to get there.
I encourage client (s) to reflect on past experiences, identify current challenges and gain awareness of cognitive, behavioral - relational patterns and psychosomatic reactions. Through this awareness and an effective therapeutic partnership, we will work together to develop desired goals and various treatment strategies. While I tailor my techniques to fit the need of each individual client, one thing that remains constant is my desire to normalize the art of therapy. I spend my sessions not only providing therapeutic treatment, but also creating a safe space. It is not until we feel safe enough to let our guards down, can we truly make progress.
Experience
I have over 13 years of experience working in the fields of mental health, case management and human services combined.
